New Look Of Landscape Association

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of your NSW & ACT landscape industry Association. To celebrate this achievement and the very real advances made by the Industry over this time, we will be expanding, relaunching and rebranding the Association.

Since the foundation of the Association, the landscape industry has seenmonumental changes in best-practice techniques, technology and the natural environment. Likewise, the needs of clients have also shifted to reflect a more sophisticated palette of outdoor spaces designed to seamlessly combine indoor and outdoor living spaces. Customers want to maximise the use of natural spaces for work, leisure and the quality of life spent with friends and family. So too, the modern field of Landscape Professionals has evolved to comprise a range of highly experienced and skilled tradespeople, many with specialisations in specific areas such as design, irrigation or horticultural maintenance and native environmental management.

To keep step with the progression of the Industry, your landscape industry Association is continuing to expand and develop. We are relaunching the LNA Master Landscapers Association, NSW

ACT to reflect the modern composition and nature of the industry. Under our new name of The Landscape Association (TLA), we have rebranded with a fresh look, a new website, a range of new services and a broader membership base.

Under the new-look TLA, we have widened our membership to include all areas and specialisations present in the contemporary landscape industry. Whilst our core membership is, and always will be, landscape contractors, our membership now encompasses many other landscape professionals, including designers, maintenance contractors, specialist landscape contractors, trade suppliers and trade service providers. With the aim of uniting all aspects of the industry, The Landscape Association will continue to provide outstanding representation to today’s industry and facilitate industry cooperation, connection and knowledge sharing.

The Landscape Association website acts as a hub for both members andconsumers alike. Members can make use of the ‘Membership Dashboard’ designed to provide easy access to everything members need. From registering to attend events, keeping abreast of the latest news or getting WHS or Industrial Relations resources and templates, TLA caters to the unique needs of landscape businesses. The new website also features a 24/7 online shop so you can get what you need at a time that suits you.

As part of the new website, we are also expanding our Members Directory and Customer Information sections.

The Landscape Association website will act as a one-stop shop for clients seeking a landscape professional for their residential or commercial, design, construction or maintenance project. The profiles of our members can contain all the information consumers need to find the right professional, from HBC (insurance) pre-approval through to examples of workmanship. Potential customers can search by location, the type of work required, or even by the Landscape Excellence Awards won. Similarly, members can search our Directory of Suppliers and Trade Service Providers to find just what they need to get the job done efficiently and cost effectively.

We encourage our members to take the time to maximise their business profile in our directories as the following months will see a great deal of website exposure.

TLA will be heavily promoting the new site through a range of media connections to launch our new brand. Both trade and consumer channels will be announcing our fresh-faced brand and highlighting the continued advantages of heading to The Landscape Association to get the job done right, first time, every time.

Over the coming year, we intend to introduce a suite of workshops and continued professional development opportunities to members. Our members have developed a well-earned reputation for exemplary levels of craftsmanship, experience, skills, creativity, innovation and ethical practices. TLA will continue to support this reputation by ensuring that the very highest levels of professionalism are observed through the use of the latest technologies and employing best-practice techniques. Members will also continue to be informed regarding the latest legislative requirements and popular design trends.

But, throughout all this change, there is one thing that will never change: our exceptional service to members.

Our mission remains to grow, lead, promote and ensure a professional and progressive landscape industry – for those working in it and for everyone using their services. The Landscape Association will continue to represent the interests and voice of the landscape industry on a broader stage to ensure the best workingconditions, environment and conditions for members and their businesses to flourish. We provide members with a range of industry-specific, custom-designed services and resources to make business operations smooth and profitable, now and into the future.
