TRUEGRID is the world’s strongest permeable solution for Industrial hardstands, commercial and residential driveways, and ground and grass stabilisation.
After four years of providing clients with imported TRUEGRID for their projects, in early 2022 TRUEGRID commenced manufacturing in Southeast Queensland. TRUEGRID is the only true permeable paving product that offers such versatility in a wide range of applications.
What is the problem?
We used to get floods sweeping through our cities once every couple of centuries. These “100-year floods” were caused by severe weather events or cyclones on coasts. Now, though, it seems there’s a 100-year flood every couple of years.
So, what’s changed?
It’s true that, since the early ’90s, rainfall levels have been well above average. But that’s only a part of the problem!
As people build more and more roads, parking lots, and developments, the ground is covered by roofs, concrete, asphalt, and gravel; up to 40 per cent of city land is now covered in concrete and asphalt. When it rains, there’s no place for the water to go, meaning that even something as simple as heavy rainfall could cause flooding — no cyclone required.
Natural undeveloped land can absorb a portion of rainfall volume. However, the moment water hits pavement, it creates runoff. In cities, that runoff picks up pollutants — oil, petroleum products, hydrocarbons, heavy metals — making it problematic in terms of not only water damage, but also water pollution.
Rain and severe weather won’t stop, and neither will development. But if we want to protect our homes, our drinking water, and our Earth, we must be smarter about the materials we use to build and make positive changes to the way in which we use and cover our Country.
The solution
Now 100% made in Australia, using 100% recycled materials sourced from high grade industrial Australian waste, TRUEGRID is now able to challenge conventional thinking and disrupt traditional paving methods; to create a better, cleaner, less toxic environment.
Suitable for commercial, industrial and residential uses in place of concrete, asphalt, gravel and even grass stabilisation, TRUEGRID’s website now lets you calculate the difference you can make to the environmental outcomes. A standard car park in TRUEGRID Pro Plus takes 129kg of plastic from landfill and detains nearly 2000 litres of water*.
Not only does TRUEGRID resolve multiple environmental outcomes, it also has the added benefit of significant cost savings and 100% land utilisation.
