The Australian Government has committed $350 million over three years, commencing in 2024–25 for the Thriving Suburbs Program to deliver investment in locally-driven urban, suburban and peri-urban community infrastructure projects.
The program provides funding of between $500,000 and $15 million to local government entities and incorporated not-for-profit organisations for capital works projects that will enhance liveability, bolster social cohesion and support local amenity in urban, suburban and peri-urban communities across Australia’s Greater Capital City Statistical Areas.
The program is open competitive with funding awarded on a merit basis.
As part of the application process, applicants will be required to complete an initial online eligibility checklist to confirm eligibility, project readiness and program suitability. Potential applicants can check their initial eligibility to apply before developing an application.
Applicants that meet the eligibility requirements will be able to proceed through the application process. Further information on the application and assessment process is outlined in the Program Guidelines.
Please continue to monitor this web page for updates on the program.
