The new Outback 4WD Rider from Billy Goat

Billy Goat® has been a premier manufacturer of specialty turf products with a reputation for innovation, productivity, and quality since its inception in 1967. Billy Goat Outback® walk behind brushcutters have set the standard for tough, user-friendly brush cutting equipment.

The new Outback® 4WD Rider marks Billy Goat’s entry into ride on brushcutter equipment. As with any product wearing the Billy Goat name, the Outback 4WD Rider offers a suite of unique features to combat the most demanding conditions.

Designed to climb steep slopes up to 22° and cut through overgrown brush and tall grasses in fields, as well as maintaining firebreaks and hiking trails, this robust machine delivers performance when rough and overgrown areas limit the use of conventional mowers. The Outback 4WD Rider has been designed with a low centre of gravity in combination with a Tuff Torq® four-wheel drive system featuring a manual diff lock, which enables it to tackle those hard-to reach places and power over long grass and brush.

The large operator platform provides sufficient space for even the tallest user. The steering wheel is tilt adjustable, while the contoured seat with armrests is designed to keep the operator comfortable all day and is equipped with fore and aft positioning.

The heavy-duty mower deck has a cutting width of 36″ (92cm) and is equipped with swing-back cutter blades that swing away when accidental contact is made with a solid object. A wraparound front bumper with footrest protects the operator against accidental impacts and incorporates tie-down points for securing the machine during transportation.

The 26.0 HP Vanguard® 810cc Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engine ^ features reduced fuel consumption, increased governing control and load acceptance, easy no-choke starting and altitude compensation. For consistent performance in mountainous areas, the EFI engine effectively compensates for the change in fuel/air mix as you go to higher altitudes, something traditional carburetted engines cannot do.

A standard remote transmission oil cooler controls the transmission oil temperature even in the toughest conditions, reducing thermal oil breakdown for an extended operating life of the system, essential when the transmissions are under heavy loads climbing and pushing down heavy growth. A Donaldson® dual stage industrial cyclonic air cleaner keeps the incoming air clean and extends the service interval by 4x when compared to a traditional panel-style air filter.

The Billy Goat Outback 4WD Rider has been designed to be easy and convenient to operate for the busy, time poor professional user.
