Ferris® Mowers, pioneers of suspension technology in Zero Turn rides, launched their first stand-on mower into the Australian market in 2020, the innovative SRS™ Z1. With more Australian users discovering the visibility, productivity, and safety benefits of stand-on mowing, Ferris have added the new SRS™ Z2 to their range for 2022.
Engineered for superior manoeuvrability and balanced stability and traction, the ergonomically designed SRS Z2 stand-on mower is loaded with innovative features to deliver productivity and comfort.
Power is provided by a 28.0 Gross HP* Vanguard® 810cc EFI engine, which is fitted with the Vanguard Oil Guard™ system for lower maintenance than standard wet sump systems. Twin Hydro-Gear® ZT-3800 transmissions deliver ground speeds up to 16km/h and are fitted with external oil coolers for greater longevity and less oil breakdown.
With a larger footprint and a 52″ iCD cutting deck, the SRS Z2 will cut up to 5 Acres/hr^, at cutting heights from 1.75″ to 5″ (4.5cm to 12.5cm). A centrally located 30L fuel tank with large filler neck allows for long run times and easy top ups.
For stability, 23″ drive tyres are paired with an ergonomically designed thigh pad, while the suspended operator platform improves comfort for all day use. An easy locking 3 position speed control setting allows the operator to customise the top speed for comfortable use in a range of conditions
The Z2 raises the bar with an adjustable operator platform, with suspension technology that optimises operator comfort and increases productivity. The ever popular ‘Automatic PTO restart’ allows the operator to safely leave the operator platform without having to restart the engine. The PTO automatically disengages when the operator leaves the platform, while the engine remains running. When the operator steps back onto the platform and reengages the PTO switch, they can continue mowing.
The innovative and tough SRS Z2 is available through Ferris dealers nationally from January 2022.
