Shindaiwa release all new 73CC Pro chainsaw

The new 731SX professional felling saw is Shindaiwa’s first new saw in the 70cc class in almost 30 years. Replacing the legendary 757, the 731SX shares the same Japanese build quality and reliability as its predecessor, with a host of new features for the professional user.

The 731SX professional grade 73.5cc 2-stroke engine provides massive torque and is compliant to the latest stage V emissions standards. As with all Shindaiwa saws, manual carburettor adjustment with a traditional H L T layout is employed. To reduce weight and add strength, the side panel and starter assemblies are both made from magnesium material, combined with advanced design this keeps the overall weight of the machine to just 6.8kg not including fuel, oil or cutting equipment. The 731SX comes with the new Oregon® EXL chain standard, bar sizes from 20″ to 28″ are available and a standard D009 bar mount is used.

Premium features include standard double bump spikes, drop prevention captive bar nuts, rolling chain catcher and flip up fuel caps for easy top ups while wearing gloves. Engine and air filter access is via three-quarter turn screws, the air filter element is a paper-pleated design, and is supplemented by an advanced pre cleaner system using centrifugal force to reduce large particulates from the element.

Built to the highest standards for year round commercial use, the 731SX is backed by Shindaiwa’s industry leading five year domestic, and two year commercial warranty.

The 731SX Chainsaw is $1,899 RRP and is available from select Shindaiwa dealers nationwide.
