The Landscape Association (TLA) is continuing to champion industry growth and professionalism for members, apprentices and the industry as a whole.
Offering a broad range of education and networking opportunities, TLA believes in supporting new and established landscapers in practical ways.
TLA CEO, Jodie Dean, said, “We’ve listened to our members and devised an event program that addresses some of the real-world challenges faced by professional landscapers and small business owners.
“From technical know-how to core business strategies, we’ve assembled a broad range of educational and networking events discounted for members, but also open to non-members.”
On-line resources
The TLA Ask the Expert webinar series continues to be a popular and sought-after TLA offering. Topics are diverse and far reaching, from managing small-business finance skills, insurance (HBCF), and contracts, to resolving disputes. Webinars are highly accessible for all members, especially rural and regional businesses, and each webinar is recorded and available as an ondemand resource to be downloaded and referred to when needed
TLA’s Training Series offers practical opportunities to sharpen skills, embrace best practices and stay ahead of trends.
Jodie Dean said, “This year we’ve teamed up with industry-leading brands like Green Life Turf, WesTrac CAT, and Milwaukee Tool to deliver a diverse selection of training modules covering cutting-edge equipment, techniques, and essential skills.
“Like the webinars, the Training Series addresses the need for specific knowledge and training with the added benefit of having a real-life hands-on experience.”
TLA flagship events
The 2025 TLA Landscaping Expo will also make a return this year, bigger and better than ever.
Now in its third year, the Expo has grown into TLA’s premier event and is moving to a new, expansive, all-weather location – The Howie Pavillion, Sydney Showground.
TLA Landscape Expo is the only event of its kind in NSW/ACT and offers a unique opportunity to network and build relationships across all levels of the industry. Aiming to build on last year’s 70 exhibitors, the Expo brings together professionals, suppliers, and experts from across the whole landscaping sector.
With product demonstrations and cost-saving offers from a variety of suppliers, the TLA Landscape Expo is the must-attend event for landscape students and seasoned landscape professionals alike.
If you’re a supplier, sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are now open. Reach out to the TLA team or visit the website for all the details.
TLA’s other flagship event, the Landscape Excellence Awards, is a celebration of the best in landscape construction, design and maintenance across both commercial and residential projects. Culminating in a Gala Dinner, submissions officially open in May 2025.
