Developed from extensive customer feedback, the Z994R expa. nds the John Deere portfolio of diesel solutions for professional landscape contractors. With classic Z900 features like the 7Iron™ PRO deck and cross-porting transmission, it also offers enhanced comfort, increased productivity, lower operating costs and longer engine life.
It’s powered by a three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine with gross SAE J1995, PS 24.7hp (18.4kW) rated power at 3200rpm that meets Final Tier 4 emission standards. The high-torque, low-emission diesel engine provides power for tough conditions with low vibration and noise levels.
To increase productivity, the Z994R is equipped with a single 43.5 L diesel fuel tank that provides enough fuel capacity for long mowing days with an easy-to-read fuel gauge.
Three mower deck options are available giving you plenty of choice. The 137cm (54 in.) and 152cm (60 in.) 7-Iron™ PRO side-discharge mower deck, and the 152cm (60 in.) 7-Iron PRO Mulch On Demand™ mower deck that can easily change from side-discharge mode to fully chambered mulching mode with a single move of a lever. The 493 L three bag Material Collection System (MCS), with dump-from-seat option offering a 458 L capacity, means productivity is increased through fast, easy grass clipping and leaf collection to give lawns a well-groomed appearance.
The new Z994R is also available with the MICHELIN® TWEEL® X® Turf airless radial tires to virtually eliminate flats and increase productivity.
Operator comfort is a primary focus of this new mower. John Deere understand that mowing commercial properties all day long means you need to operate in comfort! With three available seat options, each with adjustable armrests, all also feature ComfortGlide™ fore/aft suspension that provides up to 50.8mm (2 in.) of fore and aft travel to absorb bumps for enhanced ride quality. With the ComfortGlide setting on the seat this works in the motion you are going so the seat moves with you, not against you. In addition, a large open operator station and foot platform with plenty of legroom, allows for multiple foot positions, and increased comfort.
