The 2020 Diesel Dirt &Turf Expo scheduled for May 15-17 at Panthers Penrith has been re-scheduled. The new dates are Friday October 16 to Sunday October 18, 2020.
The event was postponed following restrictive regulations by the Federal Government on large group gatherings, issued as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak in Australia.
“We recognise the postponement may have caused inconvenience and logistical issues for many of the exhibitors, as well as for the many visitors from overseas and interstate who were planning to attend,” said Expo manager Marti Zivkovich.
“The new dates have been set after considerable consultation with exhibitors and other stakeholders. A similar shift in dates by the organisers of other trade and industry events reinforces our view that the threat from the pandemic will have either passed or become manageable by this date.
“We fully understand and appreciate the high level of planning that is involved for exhibitors in events like ours and we will do everything possible to help our exhibitors and partners. This has been a very challenging time for all concerned.
“We have been speaking with all our exhibitors to monitor the situation and have worked closely with our suppliers to address all the issues that continue to evolve. Fixing of new dates will allow the industry to focus on their people and start planning for the recovery. Everyone has been affected and it’s important that we work together to find the best way forward.
“This has been a very challenging time for the industry, however we know the Expo will represent a major part of the economy’s recovery,” Marti said.
