The new Masport R7-65.8HD rear catching ride-on mower is powered by the reliable Briggs & Stratton 950E engine.
With a cutting width of 62cm and a turning radius of only 93cm, its compact size makes it an extremely agile rider making it ideal for mowing small to medium, or winding gardens, or where restricted access may be a problem. The offset cutting deck lets you mow up close to garden edges, fences and walls, and with an overall width of 80cm it’s small enough to fit through most standard gates.
The smooth, gear-free drive is provided by a simple-to-use foot operated hydrostatic variable transmission, which delivers infinite drive speeds up to 6.2km/h in forward and 3.8km/h in reverse. Since the drive is foot operated, it allows the user to keep both hands on the steering wheel for optimal safety and control.
The mid-back spring mounted seat in combination with the ergonomically designed steering wheel provides a high level of comfort for the user. The step-through design enables the user to easily mount and dismount the rider with minimal effort. Conveniently arranged controls keep everything within arm’s reach, while the rack and pinion steering system makes this ride-on mower light and easy to manoeuvre.
A catcher full indicator sounds an audible alarm signalling when it is time to empty the catcher. The large 130L grass catcher can be easily emptied while seated, using the telescopic handle. An optional rear deflector is also available, which converts the mower to a rear discharge mower, spreading the grass evenly onto the lawn surface, removing the need to collect the grass.
Thanks to its sophisticated and patented operating mechanism, reverse mowing is now possible, even at full speed following the simple push of a lever.
