The JCB 19C-1E fully electric mini excavator is set for a future of clean technology and reduced harmful emissions.
The JCB 19C-1E has the quick charging and long battery life that allows work anywhere and anytime. A three-battery pack allows a full day’s work on a single charge, and if the machine is left on but not put to work, the battery will last up to 120 hours.
Battery status can be checked via a gauge on the instrument panel, and there are three charging options: 110V, 230V and 415V.
Economical
The 19C-1E has maintenance-free batteries, needs minimal daily checks and requires less servicing, saving rental companies, hirers and owner operators time and money.
Electricity is far less expensive than fossil fuel, and the 19C-1E having no internal-combustion engine and associated hardware reduces servicing time. There’s no need for emissions extraction, and with no engine fluid or filter checks required, time is saved in each working day.
Safety plus
It’s not only the reduced maintenance in the JCB’s favour. The sound level at the operator station is 10dB less than the diesel version, and safety features like a blue-light indicator to show the machine is running and three single-flanged bottom rollers, allied with short pitch tracks, ensure a safe, quiet, smooth ride.
It adds up to increased operator comfort and safety, and the option to work ‘out-of-hours’ or in confined spaces – something the diesel machines with their higher sound levels and high exhaust emissions can’t do. The 19C-1E operates free of any trailing tethers, has zero emissions, the canopy is ROPS, TOPS and FOGS certified, and JCB’s unique 2GO system safely isolates controls.
Built to work
JCB’s 19C-1E has been designed and built with long-lasting components for minimum downtime. The bodywork is steel for maximum protection and easy repair, and the electrical circuitry, including the heavy-duty cables, has been tested to maximise longevity. A full-width rear cast counterweight gives full protection against site damage, and extending undercarriage beams are constructed from 25mm solid-steel plate.
