WA’s Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, through WorkSafe Western Australia, has released a Tree lopping and gardening service checklist.

The list is a tool to assist duty holders and persons conducting a business or undertaking – including arborists, tree climbers, horticulturalists, gardening service practitioners, tree workers, landscapers, and others involved in the amenity (non-production) tree industry – to manage their duties under work health and safety (WHS) laws.

It highlights relevant considerations for these tasks but does not cover all WHS requirements.

It’s a great checklist for outdoor workers in all states. Download a copy and keep it in the work vehicle or somewhere handy for regular use.

Copies are available here.
