Boxer To Debut New Articulated Wheel Loaders

Well-known for their wide range of compact and heavy-duty equipment, Boxer has entered into the Articulated Wheel Loader market, debuting two new models at the TCI Expo on November 7-9, held in Pittsburgh, Penn., USA.

Boxer, a Morbark equipment brand, adds the 1800AWL and 4000AWLarticulated wheel loaders to its line up of versatile and powerful machines, which also features the X7 chipper and the 300, 600 and 700 series compact utility loaders.

Designed to meet the material handling needs of landscape contractors, tree services, rental companies, municipalities, and agricultural businesses, these new models are heavy on capabilities and light on delicate landscape surfaces such as grass, building foundations and paving stones. With a standard Boxer attachment plate, the articulated wheel loaders can accommodate the same wide variety of attachments as their mini skid steer cousins. The Boxer’s quick-attach system enables the user to quickly and easily switch from a bucket to forks or other tools for optimum on-the-job flexibility and bottom-line performance.

The telescoping boom provides excellent dumping and lifting height, enabling loading on high-sided trucks and other applications that require extended reach. The 1800AWL has a maximum lift height (measured to the attachment plate centre) of 300cm (118 inches), while the 4000AWL’s maximum lift height is 330cm (130 inches). With its 18.5kW (24.8hp) Kubota D1105 diesel engine, the 1800AWL generates a working lift capacity of 816.5kg (1,800 lb). The powerful 4000AWL has a 36kW (48.3hp) Isuzu 4LE2T diesel engine and a working lift capacity of 1814.4kg (4000 lb).

The small footprint (both models are less than 1.3m/ 51.2 inches wide) and articulated loader design gives you the agility you need to manoeuvre in close quarters, suchas small yards or narrow pathways, while providing minimal turf interruption when making turns.

The Boxer articulated wheel loaders are built with operator comfort and safety in mind, with a low-profile suspension seat in the ROPS/FOPS-certified cab. The open-cab design provides a clear view of the worksite in all directions, and easy-to-use controls make these machines simple for anyone to operate.

The 1800AWL Articulated Wheel Loader is available now for purchase, and production of the 4000AWL is expected to begin late in the second quarter of 2020.
