A1 Rubber Rotatub makes rubber wetpour as simple as possible

A1 Rubber Rotatub has been leading the way in innovation in the rubber wetpour industry for years. A1 Rubber not only manufactures rubber surfacing products, but also designs and manufactures the A1 Rubber Rotatub wetpour mixer locally in Australia.

The Rotatub has been designed specifically with the installer in mind, packing in many features to make rubber wetpour installation as simple as possible, and overcoming common installation issues. After decades of experience and feedback from wetpour installers, A1 Rubber is confident the latest iteration of the Rotatub is the best rubber wetpour mixer in the world.

Great features

One of the newest features on the Rotatub is an adjustable mixing timer with an auto-stop function, which ensures all mixes are even and consistent, eliminating the potential for colour variations between mixes.

Getting the Rotatub to site is an easy task, with large-diameter rubber wheels to easily traverse terrain, and trolley wheels to load and unload effortlessly from vehicles.

The Rotatub doesn’t compromise on safety, and can be completely operated without the need to put hands or limbs inside the machine. This is achieved with a mesh lid and serrated bag slicer on top of the machine, allowing full bags to simply be placed on top of the machine and slid off to load the mix into the machine without the strain of supporting heavy loads. The finished mix is effortlessly emptied from the machine automatically, by opening the spring-loaded trap door and allowing the non-stick polyurethane blades to scrape the barrel and empty the load.

The paddle-blade design simultaneously empties the machine and self-cleans the barrel by scraping all product to the bottom of the machine and out the trap door, and the switchbox in the latest Rotatub has been upgraded to a tough, water-resistant metal box for durability in the harshest conditions, and the buttons are housed in polyurethane coatings to prevent fouling from messy hands.

The Rotatub features an auto-stop safety switch which, if the lid is ever opened while the machine is operating, immediately stops the blades from rotating.

Shockpads

A1 Rubber hasn’t just made wetpour installation simpler with the invention of the Rotatub, but also with Shockpad prefabricated playground underlay.

Shockpads are 1m x 1m tiles, manufactured by A1 Rubber up to 50mm thick, that cut labour and installation times by more than a day in a standard playground installation by negating the time needed to trowel and set a base layer before adding the top layer.

Reduced installation times also translate to reduced risk of weather or debris contamination, reduced risk of vandalism during installation, and reduced security fencing time requirements.

Shockpads are factory controlled, ensuring consistent compression across the play space and compliance with AS4422:2016 for playground surfacing impact attenuation. The compression of the Shockpad surface is higher than what can be achieved by hand trowelling, resulting in a firmer, more integral feel underfoot.
