A new partnership will expand STIHL’s reach while reaffirming its long-standing commitment to more than 600 independent dealers across Australia.

STIHL Australia has announced a new retail partnership with Sydney Tools, marking an important step in the company’s strategic plan to expand access to its products and meet the evolving needs of the Australian market.

From November 2025, Sydney Tools’ network of more than 110 stores across Australia will offer selected STIHL products – including TS and TSA construction machines, RE and RB cleaning equipment, and entry-level AS and AK battery systems.

This partnership allows STIHL to reach new customer groups, particularly trade professionals and home users who are not currently shopping through the dealer channel. By expanding its retail presence, STIHL will increase brand visibility and strengthen overall demand across all market segments.

Managing Director of STIHL Australia, Leeson Brook, said the partnership is about capturing new markets and strengthening the STIHL brand for the future.

“This partnership is about growth of the brand and further product accessibility. Our Dealers remain at the core of our business as their expertise and service are irreplaceable. By expanding into new retail environments, we’re reaching customers who may not yet shop with us – helping to grow the entire STIHL network.

“Sydney Tools shares our commitment to quality and service. Their national reach allows us to connect with a broader customer base while ensuring our dealer network continues to lead in serving professional users,” continued Brook.

STIHL is implementing a range of measures to ensure this evolution strengthens the dealer network market. The company is also investing in new premium store formats and training programs that reinforce the specialist nature of the STIHL dealer experience.

The new partnership reflects STIHL’s confidence in its brand and its commitment to supporting its Australian operations. “We’ve been serving Australian communities for more than 50 years, and our dealers remain central to that story. By partnering with Sydney Tools, we’re expanding the STIHL network – welcoming more Australians into the brand and ensuring our brand remains as strong and relevant in the next 50 years as it has been in the last,” concluded Mr Brook.
